Wardha. Due to the pressure of the tanker owner, the tanker drivers agitated on Friday, accusing the driver of committing suicide, due to which the work of Naira Company in Dahegaon came to a standstill.
By keeping the tanker standing in the company premises, Republican Truck-Tanker Driver and Cleaner Union drew attention to their demands. Vaman Jadhav, a resident of Yavatmal, Digras, a tanker driver working in Om Sai Petroleum, Sindi (Railway), committed suicide.
The tanker drivers started agitation from Thursday night to demand financial assistance to the family of the deceased, registering a crime by holding the tanker owner responsible for the suicide. Due to this, not a single tanker was filled from Naira Petroleum Company on Friday.
Due to non-availability of facilities to keep the tanker parked outside the Naira company, the drivers have to go through trouble, this demand was also made by the union officials by submitting a request to the company administration.
Due to the movement of tanker drivers, long queues of tankers had formed outside the Naira Company located in Dahegaon (Gavande), many tankers remained standing on the Wardha-Pulgaon road. Due to this creating a hindrance in the traffic, the farmers including the common citizens had to face problems.
