Punishment to the accused given on the fifth day after hearing of only four days
In the past several incidents of rape have been coming to the fore in the country. However, in many cases it takes a long time for the accused to get punished. Due to this, the mind of the accused increases even more. In such a situation, a court in Jaipur, Rajasthan has set an example by giving severe punishment to an accused of rape in just 4 days. The court has given 20 years rigorous imprisonment to this accused of rape.
According to detailed information, on September 26, a case of rape of a 9-year-old innocent girl came to light in Jaipur. In the case, the police had taken the accused into custody within just 13 hours. In just 6 hours, the police had also filed a charge sheet in the court. After which the court had also heard the case within 28 hours.
According to sources, 25-year-old Kamlesh had lured the 9-year-old to a funeral place and raped her. After raping, Kamlesh also tried to kill the girl by strangling her. Due to which the girl fainted. Seeing the unconscious girl, Kamlesh assumed her to be dead and ran away. When the girl reached her house after regaining consciousness, the family members were scared to see the blood stains on her clothes. After this, when he inquired, the whole thing came to light.
In the whole case, the police had taken the accused into custody in just 13 hours by forming a team of 150 police personnel and completed the process of presenting them in the court expeditiously. The innocent child who became the victim of rape is still in the hospital and she was not in such a condition to be present in the hospital. In such a situation, the court took the request of the girl through video conferencing. On October 5, after taking the girl’s request, the court had ordered the accused to be sentenced to 20 years in prison along with a fine of Rs 2 lakh. This is the first such case in the whole country, when the court sentenced the accused on the fifth day after trial of just 4 days. In the entire investigation process, along with the police, other investigative agencies are also being praised a lot.
