Weather department sources said that due to the developed low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of Karnataka. Heavy rain warning has been issued in Belagavi, Bagalkot, Vijayapura, Koppal, Raipur and many parts of South of Karnataka.
Due to the low pressure of Bengal, the possibility of heavy rains is being expressed in many other states of the country. Apart from Karnataka, heavy rains have been expressed in many areas like Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam in Kerala. The air department has also given orange alert to these places. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Karnataka and Kerala, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of Jharkhand, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh and in many parts of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Orissa and West Bengal.
