Apart from Kodava, the organizations of the community known as Kurgi community had organized a meeting and discussed about it. In which both the apt practices were ordered to be discontinued. Apart from this, the institutions had also disclosed many information for the groom during the marriage.
According to today’s fashion, most of the youth keep their big beard. However, from now on the youth of this community will not be able to carry this beard during the wedding. According to the new rule of the community, the groom cannot grow his beard after the engagement till the wedding. Apart from this, she will have to be completely clean shaven on the wedding day. Apart from the groom, the community has also made rules for the guests. According to this, women going on stage to bless the bride and groom will be required to tie their hair. If any woman goes to bless a married couple with open hair, it will be considered inauspicious.
