A strange case has come to the fore in the basti of Uttar Pradesh, where high voltage drama of a judicial officer was seen during the excavation of Rajwaha canal in Chhapia Shukla village of Harraiya block. Judicial Officer ADJ Manoj Shukla lay down all night in front of JCB in protest against the excavation. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at this by tweeting.
The district administration kept trying to persuade Manoj Shukla, but the ADJ lay in front of the JCB all night without eating or drinking. As soon as the information about the judicial officer sitting on the dharna was received, the administrative officer and the force of several police stations reached the spot and efforts were being made to persuade them. Manoj Shukla finally withdrew from the dharna on Thursday afternoon after high voltage that lasted all night. Judicial Officer ADJ Manoj Shukla is posted in Sultanpur district.
Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe
The picture of Shukla lying in front of JCB is becoming increasingly viral on social media. Sharing the same picture, Akhilesh Yadav taunted, “The case of Additional District Judge Manoj Kumar Shukla against the injustice being done in UP should be immediately taken judicial cognizance. What will happen to the general public when this is happening to the persons associated with the court. This is the worst example of a poor law and order situation. People want justice, not JCB!”
What is the whole matter?
The Rajwaha canal has been completed for about 28 km and the excavation of some land in Chhapia Shukla village was left incomplete. According to the information, when the officials of Tehsil Administration and Canal Department reached JCB Machine Chhapia Shukla village on Wednesday, the family members of Judicial Officer Manoj Shukla protested and tried to stop the excavation. But Mayank was taken into custody by the police and there the excavation was started from JCB. When Manoj Shukla came to know about this, he immediately reached his village and started lying down in front of JCB to stop the contractor from digging.
