Jansatta Dal (Democratic) chief Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya is leading from Kunda assembly seat. Raja Bhaiya has defeated his nearest rival Gulshan Yadav of Samajwadi Party by nearly 40 thousand votes. Raja Bhaiya has won 6 consecutive independent elections from Kunda assembly seat.
Raja Bhaiya, MLA from Kunda has defeated Gulshan Yadav by 40 thousand votes. The BJP candidate on the third position in this seat has got 10798 votes. BSP got 1612 votes in Kunda assembly seat. Raja Bhaiya has been dominating the Kunda seat since 1993. However, the margin of victory so far has been small.
Raja Bhaiya got 1,35,900 votes in the 2017 assembly elections. Whereas BJP’s candidate Janki Sharan, who came second, got 32,950 votes. In this way, Raja Bhaiya reached the assembly for the sixth time in a row by winning by a huge margin of 1,03,647.
In the 2022 assembly elections, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had held a rally in support of Gulshan Yadav in Kunda. During this rally, Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at Raja Bhaiya, and the MLA of Kunda was shocked by this. For the first time, Raja Bhaiya openly attacked Akhilesh Yadav and said that he has a misunderstanding that the SP government is coming in the state.
Raja Bhaiya, while targeting the Samajwadi Party chief during an election rally, had said, “Tolerated a lot, but now it is necessary to answer. He had said that people have a misconception that SP is winning. But neither SP will win nor we will allow SP to win.”
Let us tell you that in the results being declared on Thursday, the ruling BJP is seen forming the government for the second time in a row by making a lead in 270 seats. At the same time, SP is leading in 128 seats while BSP is leading in one seat. Congress party is leading in 2 seats.
