Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday raised questions about the safety of EVMs, ahead of the declaration of the results of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, after which SP workers created a ruckus outside the counting venue in Varanasi. On Wednesday, a video was tweeted from the official Twitter handle of the Samajwadi Party, in which the Varanasi Divisional Commissioner, while talking to the media persons, is admitting that there has been a lapse in the EVM protocol. In the video, Deepak Aggarwal is saying, “If the EVM numbers match, then we are guilty, all the observers are sitting here, there was an error in the protocol of EVM movement, but I can say with certainty that the polling If something happened in the EVMs, it is not possible. Sharing this statement, the Samajwadi Party raised the question, “In many districts, EVM rigging is being reported. At whose behest is this happening? Are the officers being pressurized by the CM Office? Election commission please clarify.”
Similarly, outside the strong room in Mathura, SP and BSP workers created a ruckus when a person entered the premises without ID work. At the same time, the Samajwadi Party has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner before the counting of votes on March 10, demanding webcasting of the counting process in all the constituencies of all the districts and providing a link for it to all the political parties so that the whole process can be seen live. .
Meanwhile, Ghorawal SDM Ramesh Kumar has been removed on the instructions of the Election Commission. On Tuesday, the SDM’s vehicle was stopped by the SP workers outside the counting venue. SP workers had accused of carrying postal ballots and seals.
SP ally and Subhasp chief Omprakash Rajbhar also raised questions regarding the EVM movement. He said, “3 vehicles have come out with EVMs and this has been done without informing anyone. According to the guidelines of the Election Commission, EVMs cannot be taken anywhere without informing the candidate and without force. But he has been covered up and carried away.” Rajbhar said that this incident shows that out of desperation BJP is doing wrong in a fake manner.
Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya also raised questions on this and said, “We believe in the Election Commission but the way EVM machines were seen outside in Varanasi, Unnao, Sonbhadra, Bareilly and people caught it, there is a question mark on them somewhere.” makes it stand.” He further said, “Before the counting of votes neither the empty machines come out nor the voting machines come out.
