Bhartiya Kisan Union spokesperson Rakesh Tikait has been vocal on the cause of farmers and played a key role in the withdrawal of controversial agricultural laws. During this, he got the support of RLD President Jayant Chaudhary in western UP. After 13 rounds of counting, Rajpal Singh Balian of RLD got 56940 votes while BJP candidate Umesh Malik got 49045 votes. BSP got 3227 votes and Congress 923 votes in this seat.
