Pilibhit Tiger Reserve Deputy Director Naveen Khandelwal said that after attacking the bikers, the tigress along with her sub-adult child crossed the Khanaut river, which passes near the forest. It is clear from the claw marks that both the tigress who attacked the bikers and the tigress visible in the camera trap are the same. However, no evidence has been found so far, so that it can be said that the tigress is a man-eater. They believe that the tigress may have realized the danger to her child from the three bikers. That’s why he did this attack.
Let us tell you that earlier on July 11, when the tigress attacked the bikers on all three, then Vikas Kumar had climbed the tree after saving his life. The three friends passed through the territory of the tigress due to taking a shortcut. After this the tigress attacked them. Although the tigress had never seen before in residential areas before and even after the attack, she has kept a safe distance from the area. Khandelwal said that he is trying his best to avoid any conflict situation. For this the roads have also been closed at night.
