At the same time, in the MLC election, Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopal ji has been declared its candidate by Raja Bhaiya’s party Jansatta Dal Loktantrik. However, at the end of the MLC election, the court had convicted MLC Akshay Pratap in the case of getting the arms license made at a fake address. Due to which his supporters were shocked.
In the same case, Akshay Pratap Singh had appeared in the MP MLA court on Tuesday, March 22, for the announcement of punishment. Now the court has fixed March 23 as the date of sentencing in this case. In such a situation, Gopal ji has been taken into judicial custody for one day. It is believed that if Akshay Pratap is punished in the case, then his election to the Legislative Council may be eclipsed.
Let us tell you that in September 1997, a case was registered against MLC Akshay Pratap alias Gopalji for getting the arms license made at a fake address. Then the then Kotwal had filed a case against him. It was alleged that Gopalji had obtained arms license at a fake address of Pratapgarh. While Akshay Pratap Singh alias Gopal is a resident of Jamo in Amethi. Then he was also convicted by the court in the same case.
Akshay Pratap alias Gopalji is considered to have a strong hold among different public representatives in his area. It is to be known that Gopalji has been a three-time MLC and one-time MP (from 2004 to 2009) in Pratapgarh. Last time Akshay Pratap alias Gopalji was elected MLC unopposed on Samajwadi Party ticket.
