The Yogi government of UP claims that the result of their strictness regarding law and order in the state is that no criminal is able to muster up the courage to commit a crime. The prize crooks are surrendering themselves in the police station. Even in the assembly elections, the BJP had campaigned among the public regarding the law and order of the Yogi government. The party says that the mafia is in jail under the Yogi government or has fled the state.
The government says that now the condition is that the miscreants who are left are themselves coming to the police station with a placard in their hands and are surrendering after vowing not to commit crimes in future. On Tuesday, criminal Sonu Pandey surrendered with a placard in his hand at Sadar Auraiya Kotwali of Bhadohi district, taking a pledge not to commit a crime.
Earlier, a miscreant had recently surrendered in Gonda district. That too was a reward of 25 thousand. A miscreant named Gautam Singh suddenly reached the police station with a placard. The police had placed a reward of 25 thousand on him and only recently his name had surfaced in a kidnapping case. Gautam had written on this placard that “I am surrendering, do not shoot me. After this he told the policemen that I will not commit crime now.”
According to the police, on March 8, Bablu Gupta, a street businessman of Chhapia police station area of Gonda district, was kidnapped. Then a ransom of 20 lakhs was also demanded. However, taking action, the police had freed the businessman and a miscreant named Rinku was arrested. Then the police also arrested two criminals named Rajkumar and Zubair in an encounter.
On the matter of surrender, District Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Mishra said that this miscreant was wanted in the kidnapping of a street businessman of Chhapia police station area. In such a situation, the miscreant has surrendered in Chhapia police station. It has been told by the miscreant that now he will not commit the crime again.
