The Allahabad High Court will soon pronounce its verdict against Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni in a murder case. The matter is 19 years old and the hearing is going on on the appeal of the government.
The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court will decide on the matter. A case is going on against Ajay Mishra Teni for a 2003 murder. In this case, Teni was acquitted in 2004 by the lower court for lack of evidence, after which the government appealed to the High Court. Since then the hearing of the matter is going on.
According to the Times of India, a bench of Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Saroj Yadav passed this order on an application filed by the complainant. Arguing for the complainant, advocate Sushil Kumar Singh submitted that a criminal appeal was filed on behalf of the state government in 2004 against the acquittal of Mishra in the murder case.
He also said in his argument that the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court had on 22 November 2013 asked the court to expedite the hearing of the appeal. According to the information received, this appeal of the government was heard and on 12 March 2018, the division bench had reserved the decision, but later it was listed again. The matter has not been heard since then. Now the decision will come on May 16.
Let us inform that in 2003, a youth was murdered in Lakhimpur area. Ajay Mishra Teni and others were made accused in the same case. After hearing the case, in 2004, Teni and other accused were acquitted due to lack of evidence. against which an appeal was filed.
Ajay Mishra Teni is already on target of opposition in Lakhimpur case. His son Ashish Mishra Teni has been facing serious allegations in connection with the death of four farmers in the Lakhimpur case and is currently out on bail. The opposition has been demanding the resignation of Ajay Mishra Teni regarding this matter.
