Bharatiya Janata Party MP Jagannath Sarkar’s vehicle was allegedly attacked by a bomb on Saturday night. Party supporters protesting against the attack blocked traffic on the busy national highway connecting North and South Bengal. They allege that the Trinamool has made this attack on the government, because it is shocked to see the defeat in the by-elections. That is why Mamata’s leaders are resorting to violence.
Trinamool Congress leader Jayaprakash Majumdar claimed that there was no such attack on the MP’s car on Saturday night. He claims that BJP has nothing to say to the public. She is misleading people by saying baseless things. But people are not going to follow his words. People know that Trinamool Congress is their true well-wisher.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Sarkar alleged that a country-made bomb was hurled at his car at Haringhata in Nadia district when he was on his way to his ancestral residence in Shantipur village on Saturday night. Due to the high speed, it did not fall on the car. He told the media that his supporters blocked the national highway and other roads in Nadia to protest the bomb attack on my car.
The Ranaghat MP, who is heading the party’s campaign campaign for the April 12 assembly bypolls in Bellyganj, claimed that such attacks could not intimidate him.
BJP’s candidate in the by-polls, Kaya Ghosh, alleged that the Trinamool was shocked by the defeat. For this reason, efforts are being made to intimidate the leaders. He said that BJP leaders are not afraid of such antics. They will face such attacks firmly and unitedly will overthrow Mamata Banerjee’s government.
