Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Friday. 52 ministers took oath with him. During this, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav took a jibe at Yogi Adityanath while congratulating him. Along with this, he also gave advice to the Yogi government. Let us inform that Yogi Adityanath had called Akhilesh and invited him to attend the swearing-in ceremony. However, the SP chief did not attend the function.
Congratulating Yogi Adityanath on Twitter, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Congratulations to the new government that it is taking oath in the stadium built by SP. The oath should be taken not only to form the government, but also to serve the people.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium, where 52 ministers along with Yogi Adityanath took oath as ministers. In November 2018, the Yogi government changed the name of Ekana International Stadium to ‘Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium’. At that time also there was a war of words between the leaders of the Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP retained power in Uttar Pradesh by winning 255 seats out of 403 and securing 41.29 per cent of the vote.
Let us inform that in the year 2107, when Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the first time, Akhilesh Yadav along with his father and SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav had reached the swearing-in ceremony. This time also Akhilesh, Mulayam, former chief ministers Mayawati and Sonia Gandhi as well as all opposition leaders were invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony, but they did not show up.
It is worth noting that Akhilesh had already made it clear that he would not attend the swearing-in ceremony of Yogi Adityanath. In Azamgarh, he told the media on a question about it, “I am not going to the swearing-in ceremony of CM Yogi Adityanath because I have not been invited yet. If I am invited now, I will not attend the event.”
