1. Avoid fraud in the name of e-KYC verification
Let us tell you that to avoid fraud in the name of e-KYC verification, Reliance Jio said, do not answer any call or message in the name of e-KYC verification. It asks fraudulent users to call an unknown number for KYC verification. One needs to beware of such fake calls.
2. Don’t Download App for KYC Update
The company has cautioned its customers not to download any app on their phones or PCs for KYC updates. This could allow scammers access to your device and cause you financial harm, meaning money could be taken out of your account.
3. Don’t Share Important Information
According to the company and cyber experts, the customer does not need to give important information like Aadhaar number, bank account number, OTP. Scammers ask customers for necessary details by posing as fake customer care of Jio. Do not share information with anyone to avoid fraud.
4. Beware of Calls Threatening to Lose Connection
The company says that if you get calls or messages closing the connection, then be careful. Reliance Jio told customers, “These calls ask customers to complete e-KYC. Threatens to disconnect if e-KYC is not completed.
5. Do not click on unknown links found in the message
Jio says that, do not click on the link given in the message saying ‘e-KYC’. The company never asks to download any third party app other than my jio app.
