Kabul. About 1,000 families have received relief aid in two provinces of Afghanistan. This information was given by the Taliban-led government in a statement on Monday.
The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) in eastern Laghman province provided food and non-food items to 500 families in Karghai district on Sunday, Xinhua news agency quoted the statement as saying.
Food and non-food items have been distributed by ARCS to 500 families of Nahrin district in North Baglan province.
This assistance was given by the Turkish Red Crescent Society.
According to the statement, the provincial health directorate in eastern Ghazni province received medical equipment from UNICEF, which is worth about $39,800.
These devices will soon reach all health facilities in the province.
