The Henley Global Citizen Report, 2022 Q2, which monitors trends in private wealth and investment migration around the world, states that the biggest reason for this migration is strict tax rules and the country’s millionaires now want to make such a country their home. Apart from this, high standard of living, better educational and health facilities as well as finding better opportunities for business and investment are also the main reasons for this migration.
Even though this projected migration is among the top three countries experiencing the wealthiest exodus, the report states that general wealth projections in India are very strong. Andrew Amolis, Head of Research, NWW, said that we estimate that by 2031, the number of millionaires in the country will increase by 80 percent.
The report shows that the UAE is fast emerging as the top wealthiest centre. Apart from the United Arab Emirates, the top 10 potential countries for net inflow of millionaires include Australia, Singapore, Israel, Switzerland, the US, Portugal, Greece, Canada and New Zealand. But according to the report, most of the foreigners in the world are planning to settle in UAE. It was told that the Golden Visa of Dubai is also attracting Indians.
