A day after joining TMC, Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora has accused the Congress of mutual discord. Ripun Bora said that the oldest party of the country is fighting amongst themselves instead of fighting with BJP. Ripun Bora while talking to news agency ANI said- I was with the Congress party for forty years but yesterday I left the party with a heavy heart. I have no differences with the party or its leaders. I have left the party only because of policy and ideological differences.
Ripun Bora further said – From the grass root level to the top level, everyone in the Congress party is fighting with each other. On one hand, BJP is growing rapidly and breaking the constitution and the structure of secularism of the country. In such a situation, the country’s oldest party Congress, which should fight against BJP, is fighting amongst themselves. From the lower level workers in the party to the top office-bearers of the organization, everyone is fighting amongst themselves. I think TMC has the potential to fight BJP.
Bora further said- BJP is winning every election because Congress is fighting amongst themselves instead of fighting against it. It is just like one way traffic in which Congress is nowhere. Looking at the way Mamata Banerjee fought an aggressive fight against the BJP, I am sure only TMC can fight against the BJP. Former Assam Congress President Ripun Bora said- TMC’s strength in Assam is zero. I have come to the party so that I can increase the strength of the party in Assam to fight against the BJP.
