Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has emerged as one of the finest talented players in the Indian cricket team in recent times. The young wicketkeeper-batsman, who started his international career under the tutelage of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has been a key player for the team in any format. The 24-year-old Pant once again gave his best performance in the recently concluded two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Rishabh Pant has been praised by many former cricketers after his stupendous rise in international cricket and claimed that he can be a better wicketkeeper-batsman than MS Dhoni. Former India Test opener Wasim Jaffer also believes that Pant will definitely overtake Dhoni.
Jaffer said in a conversation with ESPN Cricinfo, “Yes, he can definitely be a better wicketkeeper-batsman than Dhoni. At such a young age, he has already played some incredible innings. So I believe he will be more mature in the coming 8-10 years. He can definitely be better than Dhoni with more experience.
