Police had said that 25-year-old Pant suffered injuries on his head, back and legs, but his condition is stable. The accident took place in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district at around 5.30 am. Senior Superintendent of Haridwar Police Ajay Singh said Pant had dozed off and his Mercedes Benz car caught fire after hitting the divider. The driver and the rest of the staff of a Haryana Roadways bus passing by pulled him out of the burning car. The car was completely destroyed in the accident.
