Robbery in Gwalior: Jagendra Sen, Gwalior New Dunia. On Saturday night, armed miscreants carried out the robbery at the grain warehouse of BJP leader Surendra Singh Dhakad in Daurar near Mohana Highway. The BJP leaders were sleeping in the terrace room on the first floor of the godown. The watchman had gone to a nearby field to fill the mustard. The armed miscreants reached the first floor through the roof. Surendra Singh Dhakad was taken hostage and tied his hands and feet with a rope and beat him mercilessly with rods and sticks. The miscreants took away 12 lakh rupees. The complainant says that four miscreants had come on the terrace. The rest of the miscreants were standing below. The police is searching the surrounding forest in search of the miscreants.
Surendra Singh Dhakad, a resident of Daur, has a business of selling grain by buying grains from nearby farmers. He is associated with BJP, and has also been a district member. The BJP leader has made a godown for business in the village at a distance of about five and a half kilometers from the house. Two watchmen are there to guard this warehouse. On Saturday night, the BJP leader sent both the watchmen to collect mustard from a nearby field and himself slept in the rooftop room to guard the godown. Four armed miscreants entered the room through the roof.
Shut off the power and tied it with a hook: At two o’clock in the night, the light of the room was switched off and four miscreants were standing in front of them with rags. The miscreants tied him with a rope threatening to shoot him and started beating him with sticks. The miscreants robbed 12 lakh rupees kept in the cupboard of the warehouse. The complainant says that as soon as the miscreants went to another room, they opened the rope and saved their life by jumping from the ceiling.
Search start: ASP Jairaj Kubair, SDOP Ghatigaon Praveen Ashtana and Mohana police station in-charge Prashant Sharma reached the spot as soon as the information of robbery was received in Daurar village. After the robbery, there is an atmosphere of panic in the whole village. Police is searching to nab the miscreants.
