Pickup stopped on highway, driver beaten for recovery
The case is about four days ago when an animal trader named Mohammad Ujir was passing through his pickup vehicle through the Bhutti highway. The pickup was driving a young man named Lucky. At the same time, 11 policemen posted in three PRV vehicles on the way stopped the pickup.
The businessman alleges that the policemen demanded a recovery of Rs 500 according to each person. When the businessman and the driver said that there was no money, the policemen beat Lucky badly with a stick. He has suffered a serious eye injury in this attack.
The victim’s big claim – the game of recovery has been happening earlier
The victim merchant went to the police station and lodged a complaint about the entire case. Ujir says that these policemen used to charge Rs 200 per person from him every time earlier. He used to throw the money on the ground and they used to pick up. But this time he demanded Rs 500 per person and attacked him with a stick. According to the victim, the policemen stopped the car and said, “Ruk, we are 11 people … give 11 notes of 500-500.”
Policemen found guilty, departmental inquiry started by suspending
Acting in this case, DCP Crime Abid Kasami said that the allegations in the investigation have been found prima facie correct. Therefore, 11 policemen have been suspended with immediate effect and departmental inquiry has been started against them.
He told that now it is also being seen that other policemen were not involved in this recovery. If someone else’s involvement is found in the investigation, strict action will also be taken against him.
Police department stirred, accused in trying to compromise
