Russia, which is facing sanctions from Western countries after the attack on Ukraine, has appealed to friend India for help. Russia has appealed to India to supply more and more medical equipment to it. Since the attack on Ukraine, restrictions imposed by Western countries and disrupted the movement of ships have created a shortage of medical equipment in Russia. Russia has been importing most of its medical equipment from Europe and China. But due to sanctions, Russia has stopped the supply, while China is also refraining from exporting. In such a situation, China has sought help from its all-time friend India.
Association of Indian Medical Device Industry forum coordinator Rajiv Nath said companies from India and Russia will discuss how to increase the supply of medical devices. A virtual meeting will be held in this regard on April 22. Group Business Russia, which promotes relations between India and Russia, has confirmed this. India is considering increasing exports to Russia. Both the countries are also talking about the deal in local currency. Even during the Cold War, bilateral trade between the two countries was done only through local currency. Efforts are being made to activate the same system once again.
India has given a befitting reply on the objection of American
Let us tell you that India has been criticized many times for buying cheap oil from Russia by America. America has appealed to India several times not to support Russia in the Ukraine war. However, India has refused to criticize Russia, citing historical ties and neutrality. In response to a question on objecting to the purchase of oil, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar had recently said that as much oil as India buys from Russia in a month, Europe buys from it in one afternoon.
Opportunity for India, exports to Russia may increase 10 times
At present, India is seeing the Ukraine war as a good opportunity for itself from the business point of view. On the one hand, he is buying cheap oil from Russia, while on the other hand, there is an attempt to gain business advantage by increasing exports in the Russian market. Rajiv Nath said that India’s exports to Russia are expected to be $2 billion this year, which will be up to 10 times more than the previous years.
