Overnight firing in Luhansk
Missile strikes were carried out by Russia on a military air base in the Ukrainian city of Alexandria late Friday evening. The city’s mayor, Serhiyi Kuzmenko, informed about the attacks in a social media post on Saturday. One person was killed and three were injured in the overnight shelling in the eastern Luhansk region, he said. Gas pipelines leading to the city of Severdonetsk and Lisichansk have been damaged by the shelling.
Oil refinery destroyed in Lysikhansk
On Saturday, the Russian military launched a missile attack on the oil refinery of Lysikhansk. After the attack, a massive fire broke out in the refinery. Luhansk Governor Serhi Haidai said this was not the first time the refinery was targeted. Russia is carrying out such attacks to entangle local emergency services.
Nine killed, fifty injured in Kharkiv
