Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh gave this information on social media platform X. What did Sam Pitroda say?
In fact, Sam Pitroda Had opposed reservation in educational institutions like IIT and IIM. This video is going viral on social media. In this video, Sam Pitroda can be heard saying, “When we talk about reservation, I believe that everyone should get opportunity. I believe that the benefit of reservation should not be given on the basis of caste, religion, color. But, How will this happen? I believe that we should discuss about reservation in the highest educational institutions of the country. There is no problem in giving reservation in schools and colleges but there should not be reservation in IITs and IIMs. Reservation will spoil IITs and IIMs. I believe that opportunities should be given on the basis of talent.”
In the video, he further said, “There should be equality of opportunity in IITs and IIMs. It is from here that we provide the best talent for the country. We should trust their talent and treat them equally. We should give priority to their ideas and innovations.” Needed.”

Rahul had talked about ending reservation
It will be important to see this statement of Sam Pitroda in the context of the promises made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during election rallies. Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly said in the past that if the India Alliance government is formed at the Centre, then the existing reservation will be increased from 50 percent. In fact, he had talked about abolishing the reservation limit itself. Pitroda, who is close to his own father Rajiv Gandhi, has previously been of the opinion that there should not be reservation in some top educational institutions.
Earlier, Sam Pitroda had made racial remarks against Indians, saying, “People of North India look like whites, whereas, people of East India look like Chinese. People of South India look like Africans and people of West India look like Arabs.” Looks like.”
PM Modi had taken sarcasm
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took a dig at this statement of Sam Pitroda. Addressing a rally in Warangal, Telangana, he said that the prince’s philosopher and guide uncle has revealed a big secret. He (Sam Pitroda) said that all those whose skin color is black are from Africa, which means he abused many people of the country on the basis of their skin color.
Many BJP leaders are also strongly attacking Sam Pitroda’s statement. Seeing the growing controversy amidst all this, Congress distanced itself from Sam Pitroda’s statement and expressed his personal opinion. On the other hand, Sam Pitroda also resigned from the post of President of Indian Overseas Congress. (With IANS inputs)
