New Delhi. Another controversial statement by Indian Overseas Congress Chairman Sam Pitroda has raised the political temperature. In a recent video, Pitroda compared people living in India to Chinese, Arabs, Caucasians and Africans in the West, sparking outrage. Amid BJP’s condemnation of his statement, Bollywood actress and BJP candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut hit back at Pitroda’s statement and also targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
Kangana Ranaut said on social media, “Sam Pitroda is Rahul Gandhi’s guru. We have heard his divisive and separatist words. Their mentality is ‘divide and rule’. Calling Indians ‘Chinese and African’ is extremely insulting. In such a scenario, Congress should be ashamed of itself.” On the other hand, Congress once again distanced itself from Pitroda’s remarks, with Congress Secretary and communications in-charge, Jairam Ramesh, saying on social media that the comparison made by Sam Pitroda about India’s diversity is wrong and unacceptable. However, Sam Pitroda also said, “We all look different, but it doesn’t matter. We are all brothers and sisters. We respect all languages.”
In the video, Pitroda is seen saying, “India is a very diverse country, where people in eastern India look like Chinese, people in the west look like Arabs, people in northern India look like Caucasians and people in southern India look like Africans.” Looks like. But it’s the difference that doesn’t matter. We are all brothers and sisters. We respect all languages.”
