New Delhi, July 14 (IANS)| Samsung on Wednesday unveiled a new three-door ‘convertible French door’ refrigerator in India. The ‘Convertible French Door’ refrigerator 580L variant starts at Rs 89,990 while the 579L is available on online and offline platforms at a starting price of Rs 95,990.
Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung India, said in a statement, “The new French door refrigerators allow consumers to manage refrigerator storage as per their convenience with convertible options.” Pullan said, “Consumer preferences are changing with the current environment. At Samsung, we are committed to bringing innovations that help improve the lives of our consumers.”
The refrigerator has been expertly designed for compact modern kitchens. With just a simple touch, users can convert their freezer into a fridge that gives more storage capacity. Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus technology works with two separate evaporators for the fridge and freezer to reduce temperature fluctuations. This innovation adds a new level of convenience that makes it possible to control the optimum humidity and temperature in the fridge to separate the moisture from the freezer.
High humidity of up to 70 percent preserves food for longer. Twin Cooling Plus technology prevents air contamination between the two compartments thereby preventing mixed odours. The water dispenser comes with an in-built water tank of 4L capacity. It also provides storage space that you can use to organize and store fruits and vegetables separately. It comes with a capacity of 21.7 liters per box. These new refrigerators come with a 10-year warranty on compressor and digital inverter technology that provide up to 50 percent energy savings.
