Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson returned to the national team after a long time. Samson, who was active in domestic cricket and franchise league, also got a chance to play two matches in the T20 series against Sri Lanka, but he could not do much in it. He, however, tried to showcase his talent but failed to play big innings. He was dismissed in two matches scoring 39 and 18. Seeing Samson’s performance, former Pakistani cricketer Salman Butt has also expressed his disappointment.
Talking on his YouTube channel, Salman said that if Samson wants to cement his place in the team, then he will have to perform effectively in the match. The Pakistani cricketer said, “Sanju Samson played some great shots but these innings of 18, 19, 20 and 30 are not enough. He definitely has a lot of talent but lacks output. If he needs to strengthen his claim in the team If so, they have to improve their output.”
To back up his claim, Butt said that there are many players who are knocking at the national level with their performances. He said, “There are already a lot of players who are knocking on the doors of the Indian team with their performance. If you want to be in the team, you have to be exceptional. So, it’s not about talent, it’s about talent,” he said. It’s about output.”
