The shooter failed to make it to the finals due to a gap of 20 minutes.
Today is the third day of Tokyo Olympics and Indian players are trying their best to win medals. But if your victory is stopped due to some technical reasons, then any player’s heart is broken. Something similar happened with Olympic shooter Manu Bhaker, when Manu Bhaker’s dream of going to the final was shattered due to a technical fault inside the pistol.
When Manu Bhaker’s play was halted due to a technical problem, he had to take 44 shots in 55 minutes. But after that he had to take all these shots in just 36 minutes. Which was very difficult. Even after making the pistol, four to five minutes had to be seen to see if it was moving properly. Coach Ronak Pandit said that it usually takes some time for the defect to be fixed. Due to safety regulations it was not possible to get the pistol repaired at the shooting range, due to which he had to go to the coach and a member of the jury to get the pistol repaired.
Manu scored 95, 94 and 95 in the first series after scoring 98. But in the end she could not make it to the top-10. Manu had deteriorated for about 20 minutes due to the repair of the pistol, due to which the young shooter was very disappointed. Please note that according to the rules of the Olympics, no extra time is given in such circumstances.
