New Delhi. Aftab Poonawalla, accused in the sensational Shraddha Walkar murder case, may undergo narco test today. Delhi Police had sent a request to the Forensic Science Lab to get Aftab’s Narco done. Arrangements for the narco test have been made at Ambedkar Hospital in Delhi. During this test, about 50 questions will be asked from Aftab. Actually, Delhi Police believes that Aftab Poonawala is lying in the interrogation and is also trying to mislead. First he asked to throw the pieces of Shraddha’s dead body in Mehrauli forest. Then told that he threw his head in a pond. In such a situation, the police is now preparing to get Aftab to reveal the truth through narco test.
The police had applied in the court for Aftab’s narco test. The court had asked Aftab on this whether he is ready for Narco or not? The accused had agreed to get the test done. After which the court ordered the police to get his narco test done in 5 days. The results of the Narco test are considered as evidence in the court. Because of this, the police are pinning their hopes on the results of this test to reveal the Shraddha murder case.
This is how narco test is done
During this test, the accused is given a special injection of a drug called sodium pentothal. With this injection, the accused reaches a state of half unconsciousness. Then he is asked questions. Due to lack of complete control over himself, the accused answers every question correctly. During the narco test, forensic experts, the investigating officer of the case and a psychologist are also present to ask questions, apart from a doctor to administer medicines and monitor the person’s health. Videography of the entire process is also done. Along with this, the answers to the questions are also written. These written answers and videos are presented in the court.
