A case has been registered against Samajwadi workers for sprinkling Gangajal at the meeting place of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district. On September 21, CM Yogi had arrived in the district to lay the foundation stones and inaugurate projects worth 275 crores. His helicopter had landed in the premises of Maa Kailadevi temple.
After the departure of CM Yogi from the meeting place, the SP workers sprayed Gangajal in the temple premises. The workers accused the CM that he did not go to see Maa Kailadevi. At the same time, a case has been registered against 8-10 unknown people, including the state secretary of the youth assembly, Bhavesh Yadav, for this alleged purification. All have been booked under different sections of IPC at Bahjoi police station. It is worth mentioning that Sambhal district is Yadav dominated and local people consider Maa Kaila as Kuldevi.
700 years old temple The Yadav community has immense faith in this temple, which is about 750 years old. On Tuesday, CM Yogi descended in the courtyard of this temple and addressed the people. SP leader Bhavesh Yadav alleged that CM Yogi did not visit inside the temple. Bhavesh said that although yogis talk about Hindus, but in reality they are doing politics of separating Hindus and Muslims.
Akhilesh Yadav will get the Gangajal sprayed from the fire brigade: Samajwadi Party President and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has also made allegations regarding purification. He said that when Yogi became the CM of the state in 2017, he had got the Chief Minister’s residence at 5, Kalidas Marg in Lucknow washed with Ganga water. In response to this, Akhilesh Yadav has said that after his return to power in 2022, he will also get ‘Gangajal’ sprinkled from the fire brigade at the CM residence.
