In the singles category, world number one Bhagat defeated Kumar Nitesh 17-21, 21-17, 21-17. In men’s doubles, Bhagat and Manoj Sarkar beat India’s Kadam and Nitesh 21-19, 11-21, 21-11. In mixed doubles, Bhagat and Palak Kohli defeated India’s Ruthik Raghupati and Mansi Joshi 14-21, 21-11, 21-14 to win the title.
Kadam, on the other hand, defeated Marcel Adam 21-18, 21-18. In men’s doubles, he had to be content with a silver medal.
Bhagat said, “It is a special win for me because it has come after two tournaments. My focus is now on the Grade One tournament which will start after three days.
