He further said that drinking water while standing leads to lack of liquid substance in the joints and bones become weak. This can also cause arthritis or knee damage. Apart from this, kidney disease, effect on digestive system, effect on lungs and heart related problems can also occur. You will be surprised to know that if you drink water in the wrong way, it will not benefit you but will harm you. Therefore, one should always drink water in the right manner. He told that if you are coming from outside, you should never drink water immediately. This also has a very bad effect on your health.

Doctor Tina Kaushik further told Local18 that we should always drink water while sitting comfortably. We should never drink water in one go, but by taking small sips. By drinking water slowly, the electrolyte balance of the body remains good and the body gets all the essential minerals. He told that we should never drink water between meals, rather drinking water 30 minutes after eating is beneficial for our health.
