New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday asked the police of all states to properly analyze the data of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) before formulating their annual crime prevention strategy. Shah also said that all central agencies should be linked with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System.
Speaking at the 37th Foundation Day celebrations of NCRB here, the Home Minister said that the Home Secretary should hold a meeting with the heads of all central agencies in this regard.
He said that if the NCRB data is made available to all the states in the right format at the right time and all the states develop a system to analyze these data, then the crime rate in the country will come down very fast.
He said that the NCRB data should be shared with all the state police headquarters, district police officers and police stations. He also emphasized that the analysis of data should not be confined to the top officials only, but should be made available to every police station in the country, otherwise it would be of no use.
The Home Minister said that only data does not give desired results, but understanding and awareness is also necessary to utilize it fully. For this, the Director of NCRB should hold a meeting with the Director Generals of Police of the states and make them familiar with the analysis of crime statistics. They should explain how these data can be used to investigate crime and prevent it.
The Home Minister said that the state police should not only look at the sections of the Criminal Penal Code but also look at its social aspect. They need to understand why crime is high in drought-prone areas or why farmers are engaged in disputes that injure or sometimes even cause death.
He said that no solution can be found to check crime till we keep looking at the statistics of NCRB from the point of view of sections of IPC.
—AnyTV News is going that the result of the neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections is sure to have an impact on the politics of Bihar as well. Since the last Bihar assembly elections, the relations between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Janata Dal (United) are not seen as old. Often the leaders of both the allies are trying to prove each other better by opening a front against each other. In such a situation, there is no warmth between the two parties as before.
After the announcement of the Uttar Pradesh election results, the leaders of both the parties were seen making statements regarding the Yogi and Modi model and the Nitish model in the Bihar Assembly on Friday.
Bihar BJP MLA Hari Bhushan Thakur said that like UP, Bihar has also made a demand to implement Yogi Adityanath model of development and law and order. He said that the way people have liked Yogi and Modi in UP, it is certain that Yogi and Modi model is needed in Bihar too.
Here, the leader of Janata Dal United (JDU), an ally in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, Neeraj Kumar said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s model of development is applicable in Bihar and it will continue. He said that Nitish model is praised all over the country.
JDU and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), involved with the BJP in the Bihar government, had also come to contest the UP elections. However, both the parties were rejected by the people there. Nitish Kumar did not go for campaigning, but many other big leaders including JDU’s national president Lalan Singh took charge. JDU has fielded candidates on 26 seats. Similarly, VIPs also fielded their candidates on 50 seats.
By the way, the leaders here are unhappy with the way the VIP chief and Bihar minister had opened a front against the BJP in the UP elections. BJP leaders are now even demanding his resignation. BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur says that Mukesh Sahni himself lost the assembly elections in Bihar. He said that the ‘rejected’ VIP was ‘projected’ by the BJP. He said that in UP he was again rejected by the public.
Big leaders of BJP and JD(U), however, deny any influence in Bihar NDA. JD(U) national president Lalan Singh said that the results of UP will not affect the alliance in Bihar.
BJP State President Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal also said that the results of UP will not have any effect in Bihar, where the NDA is united and the government is running.
However, it is certain that even though the effect of the UP elections may not be visible in the politics of Bihar in the recent past, but in the coming days the effect of the result will definitely be seen, till then we will have to wait.
