On Monday, the first trading day of the week, the stock market started trading on the green mark, putting the brakes on the continuing decline from the past days and finally closed on the green mark. On the one hand, the 30-share Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange closed at 51,598 with a gain of 237 points, while the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 15,350 with a gain of 57 points.
Earlier, BSE Sensex jumped 140 points to open at 53,500 level, while NSE’s Nifty gained 25 points to open at 15,318 level. It is worth noting that on Friday, the last trading day of the last week, the stock market closed with a fall for the sixth consecutive day. The BSE Sensex index fell 135 points to 51,360, while the NSE Nifty index lost 67 points to close at 15,293.
