On Thursday, the stock market started on a high note. The 30-share index Sensex of Bombay Stock Exchange and Nifty of National Stock Exchange opened on the green mark. Sensex jumped 223 points at 58,220 level, while Nifty was up 85 points at 17,407 level. With the opening of the market, 28 out of 30 Sensex stocks were open on the green mark.
Wednesday came down
It is worth noting that in the last trading session too, the stock market was open with an increase but could not sustain this uptrend. On Wednesday, both the indices of the market had closed on the red mark at the end of trading. The BSE Sensex closed 145 points lower at 57,997, while the Nifty lost 30 points to close at 17,322.
