The safety of mothers, sisters and daughters of the state is among the priorities of the government and in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, once again the same sensitivity of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was seen. On his visit to Gorakhpur, when CM Yogi Adityanath got information about the incident late in the evening, he immediately instructed the top officers of the state police to take action and take strict action against the culprits and himself kept monitoring the whole matter. Uttar Pradesh Police also showed full promptness and arrested all the 6 accused, including the nominated ones, within 24 hours of the incident. When the whole country was sleeping, the Uttar Pradesh Police was continuously raiding Lakhimpur Kheri in search of criminals. Eventually in the morning all the criminals reached behind the bars. It is noteworthy that on Wednesday evening, bodies of two girls were found hanging on a tree in village Tamolinpurwa in Thana Nighasan area of Lakhimpur district.
Police encounter with main accused
ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that 6 accused (Junaid, Suhail, Chhote, Hafizur Rahman, Karimuddin and Chhotu) have been arrested through scientific investigation while registering a case on the complaint of the girl’s mother immediately in the incident. In this, the main accused Junaid has been arrested in the police encounter. According to the police, a 315 bore pistol and 2 live cartridges and a shell were recovered from the accused Junaid son Israel in an encounter with the local Nighasan police and SWAT team in Nighasan police station area at 8.34 am on Thursday. The motorcycle used in the incident was also recovered. During the encounter, other accused Suhail and Hafeezur Rehman were also arrested from the spot. During their interrogation, other accused, younger son Majle and Karimuddin son Kalamuddin were also arrested. The accused named in the FIR, Chhotu Gautam son Chetram Gautam was also arrested by the local police.
UP Police kept raiding all night
It is to be known that as soon as the incident came to the notice, the police registered a case under sections 302, 323, 452, 376 and 3/4 POCSO Act in the police station Nighasan at one o’clock late in the night on the written Tahrir of the mother of the deceased girls. After registering the case, the police raided different places on the basis of information. On one hand, where the local police was raiding the whole night, on the other hand, the top police officers of the state were also monitoring the matter by staying awake all night.
Top officials reached the spot
According to ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar, the matter came to the notice of the police late in the evening. After that the Uttar Pradesh Police became active with immediate effect. Apart from the local police, IG Range Laxmi Singh from Lucknow was immediately rushed to the spot. Speedy action was taken under the leadership of SP Lakhimpur Sanjeev Sinha. All forensic evidences were observed. The post mortem of the dead bodies has been done under videography by a panel of expert doctors. The bodies have been handed over to the next of kin who will be cremated through rituals.
Chief Minister took moment to moment information
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath kept monitoring the entire matter. In the midst of his busy schedule to visit Gorakhpur, he inquired about the matter from the top officials late in the evening. After this, without delay, the police were allowed to take action in the matter. Clear instructions were given that no criminal who carried out this heart-breaking incident with the daughters of the state should be spared. Everyone should be put behind the bars of jail within 24 hours. The Chief Minister also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased daughters. He kept on taking information from the officials in the matter till late night.
