New Delhi. There is good news for the students who are unable to study medicine due to non-availability of subject material in Hindi language. For the first time in the country, MBBS will be taught in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who visited Bhopal on Sunday, while releasing its three books, said, ‘This is the time to rebuild the education sector in the country. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh has fulfilled the wish of Modi ji by starting medical studies in Hindi. He further said that ‘the process of thinking takes place in one’s mother tongue, which is why Nelson Mandela said- ‘If you talk to a person in that language, it goes to his mind.’ And if there is a facility to do research in their own language, then the youth of India are also no less than anyone. Madhya Pradesh has taken a vow to make medical education in Hindi. This will definitely bring revolution in the country. He further said that ‘after a few days, students will be given the opportunity to study polytechnic and engineering in Hindi also.’
Earlier, the Chief Minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chouhan said about this that ‘Today is a historic day. The children of poor families, who studied in Hindi medium and got trapped in the web of English after reaching the medical college, either left medical studies or committed suicide. Referring to an incident, he said that ‘I asked a child – why did he leave medical studies, then he cried and said – ‘Mama does not understand English’. Studying Hindi will help such children. The Chief Minister said that ‘we have not made Hindi difficult’. Kidney will be written as kidney, not liver. According to the Chief Minister, 6 engineering and 6 polytechnics, later IITs and IIMs will also be taught in Hindi. At the same time, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said- ‘After researching thoroughly, we decided that how can we get medical education done in Hindi.
Hindi translation of 3 books of first year has been done. A team of 97 doctors was engaged on this work. The team has translated 5 MBBS first year books in Hindi by spending 24 hours for seven days. We will translate further courses in Hindi also. It is noteworthy that the students of the new batch of MBBS who come after counseling will be taught from books translated in Hindi. From November 15, the new batch will be taught in Hindi. After this start, students studying in Hindi medium living in rural areas of MP are excited.
