It is said that if you want to succeed in any field, you should move forward with continuity and determination. It is human nature to give up after facing failures but there is a girl who has been pursuing her dreams with determination despite failures. Finally, she has succeeded in passing the UPSC exam in the third attempt. She has secured the fourth rank in this exam. Her name is Smriti Mishra.
Studied from Delhi University
Smriti Mishra hails from Prayagraj, UP. She developed a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to society from a young age. Her father Rajkumar Mishra is employed as CO (II) in Bareilly, while her brother is a lawyer in the Supreme Court. Smriti did her schooling from St. Clare Higher Secondary School in Agra city. She has a BSc degree from Miranda House College, Delhi University.
12th got 96.6% marks
Smriti (SMRITI MISHRA) was good at studies since childhood. She has scored 96.6% marks in class 12th examination. She had chosen Zoology as her optional paper for UPSC Civil Services Examination. This subject played a very important role in the exam due to her genuine interest and scientific background. Smriti was able to perform well in her optional paper, due to which she scored well in the UPSC main exam.
Could not even qualify UPSC prelims in the second attempt
Smriti (SMRITI MISHRA) cleared the UPSC exam in her third attempt. She could not even clear the prelims exam in her second attempt as she could not qualify the CSAT in the year 2021. Although Smriti failed in the prelims in her second attempt, she did not give up on her dream and determination to clear the exam and serve her country. Hence, her journey is a testimony to her determination, passion and commitment to join the public service.
