Apart from this, a proposal is made for digging of new ponds and dubri. But every year, only when the summer comes, the government administration comes to the plan made for the maintenance in the past. Especially with the onset of summer, the ponds are emptied for deepening, due to which the people who depend on the ponds have to face the crisis of draining water.

Spread over an area of more than three acres, the water of this pond is used for the disposal of the surrounding population. In summer, this pond is life-giving for the people. Durg-Bhilai experiences severe heat from the last month of March to the third week of May.
Due to the emptying of the water of the ponds, the ground water level of the hand pumps and bore wells running around is also affected. When the water label goes down, the hand pump and bore also stop supporting. Anyway, hundreds of hand pumps are lying closed in the Bhilai Corporation area. In the last days of April, water is released from the reservoirs to fill the ponds.
If the deepening and beautification of the emptied ponds is not done on time, then the ponds cannot be filled. Similarly, the water of the Girhola pond located near Ahiwara has also been emptied in the name of urbanization. A large population of the village uses the water of this pond for disposal.
