New Delhi. Former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has lashed out at the BCCI for ignoring Sarfaraz despite his brilliant batting. The former cricketer said that if BCCI wanted slim trim boys, they should go into modeling. Please tell that the reason for Sarfaraz not being selected in Team India is that the BCCI tells him to be physically unfit. To which now Sunil Gavaskar has given the above reaction. He further said that how you perform in cricket, it does not matter your physical form. It is wrong to think that only slim trim boys can play good cricket, it is not so at all. But, if you do other tests including yoyo, then I would not like to comment much in this.
Let us tell you that in the domestic ground, Sarfaraz is constantly showing his bat power. So far he has scored 2 thousand 441 runs in Test matches. But despite this, he has not been selected in Team India yet, for which he has expressed his displeasure many times and now Sunil Gavaskar has also supported him on this whole matter.
Gavaskar further said that some people do other tests including YoYo in search of a good cricketer, but it is not the only way to find out what a player is like. But, if you do any other test apart from Yoyo, then I would not like to say anything in that context. But just on the basis of Yoyo to decide that such and such a person will be suitable for cricket, it will not be correct to say.
He said that the performance of the player and the runs scored by him should form the basis of his selection in Team India. Please tell that Sarfaraz has expressed his displeasure on many occasions for not being selected in Team India. But, now what direction will this whole matter take in the coming days.
