The bench, while dismissing the PIL, asked the workers to approach the concerned authorities or the courts. Bansal had personally filed the PIL. He had sought a direction to the Centre, the Uttar Pradesh government and the National Tiger Conservation Authority to constitute a high-level committee to suggest measures to mitigate the hardships of daily wage workers.
The petitioner claimed that he has legally spoken to more than 20 such daily wage earners and they have come to know that their families are living in a very pathetic condition due to non-payment of salaries for the last 11 months. Even the wife of one of such daily wage laborers had committed suicide.
