Lace trader Anoop Solanki told that traders used to trade 50000 to 60000 daily but orders are not being received for a month. Along with this, lace patti and gota patti etc. used to be sent to other states including Delhi, Maharashtra, they are also not going. Due to which goods worth lakhs have been stocked.
Praveen Bhalana, head of the Lace-Dhupien Association, says that before the bandh, thousands of women used to work in Lacepatti and Diamond Stone etc., but now they have also become unemployed due to the closure. The traders have suffered a loss of about 200 crores. . On the other hand Pramod Bhagat, head of Gujarat region of Confederation of All India Traders said that the retail sector is closed for several days due to mini lockdown.
