New Delhi. Indian star batsman Suryakumar Yadav’s reign at the top spot in the T20 rankings came to an end on Wednesday. The aggressive batsman has slipped from first to second position, replaced by Travis Head, who has been in great form in the ongoing T20 World Cup in the West Indies. According to the latest ICC rankings, Head is now at the top spot, while Suryakumar is in second place. There is very little difference in their rating points, with Head leading by just two points with a total of 844 points. Despite this drop, Suryakumar has a chance to regain his top spot as the Indian team has reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, while Australia has been eliminated after losing to Afghanistan and India. Suryakumar Yadav was at the top since December 2023. Head regained the number one ranking thanks to his stellar performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup, where he has scored 255 runs including two half-centuries. This includes a notable innings of 76 runs against India in the Super 8 stage.
