The arrest of BJP leader Tajinder Bagga is becoming a reason for the clash of constitutional institutions. On Saturday, the Mohali Court issued a non-bailable warrant against Tajinder Pal Bagga, saying that Tajinder Bagga was released illegally. Terming the action of Delhi Police and Haryana Police as illegal, the court said that Haryana Police forcibly took the custody of Tajinder Bagga from Punjab Police and handed it over to Delhi Police. The Mohali Court said that the Punjab Police had sent five notices to Bagga to appear. In such a situation, the action of Punjab Police to arrest Bagga is correct.
This remark of the Mohali Court has dealt a big blow to Haryana and Delhi Police. The court said in a detailed order that the action of Punjab Police to rescue Tajinder Pal Bagga and hand him over to Delhi Police was wrong. The court’s action will now take place on May 23. After this order, now Punjab Police can arrest Tajinder Pal Bagga anytime. At the same time, Tajinder Pal Bagga has the option of taking a stay against this order from the Upper Court.
It is worth mentioning that on Friday, the Punjab Police had arrested Tajinder Pal Bagga from his house. Meanwhile, Delhi Police contacted Haryana Police to stop Punjab Police and then Haryana Police stopped Punjab Police near Kurukshetra. Later, when Delhi Police reached Kurukshetra, Haryana Police took Bagga’s custody from Punjab Police and handed over Bagga to Delhi Police.
