Islamabad: The Taliban on Wednesday rejected the claim of Afghan involvement in recent attacks in Pakistan, calling it ‘irresponsible and beyond the truth’. Pakistan’s army had said on Tuesday that the suicide bomb attack in March that killed five Chinese engineers and a Pakistani driver was planned in neighboring Afghanistan and the attacker was an Afghan citizen. Pakistani Army spokesperson Major General Ahmed Sharif had said that four people have also been arrested in connection with the attack on March 26 in Bisham district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
‘An attempt to divert attention from the truth’
“Blaming Afghanistan for such incidents is a failed attempt to divert attention from the truth of the matter, and we strongly reject it,” Taliban Defense Ministry spokesman Inayatullah Khawrazmi said in a statement on Wednesday. “The killing of Chinese civilians in an area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa heavily guarded by the Pakistani Army shows the weakness of Pakistani security agencies.” He said the Islamic Emirate (Afghanistan) has assured China that Afghans will not be killed (in this attack). Are not included.
‘Pakistan should answer’
Pakistani Army spokesperson Major General Ahmed Sharif had said that the promise that the Afghan Taliban had made to the international community before coming to power that no one would be allowed to use Afghan soil against any other country, was true to that promise. Couldn’t get down. Khavrazami hit back, saying Afghanistan had evidence of Islamic State members coming to Afghanistan from Pakistan and that “Pakistan’s soil is being used against us, for which Pakistan should answer.” (AP) )
