New Delhi. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, an incident of targeted killing has once again come to light in Jammu and Kashmir. On Wednesday, terrorists shot dead a man from Bihar in Anantnag area. The incident took place in Bijbehara area of Anantnag. The victim has been identified as Raja Shah. Reportedly, the ambushed terrorists shot Raja Shah in the neck and stomach. Soon after the incident, Raja Shah was taken to a local hospital where he died during treatment. After the incident, police and security forces surrounded the entire area and started a search operation.
This is the third attack so far this year
On February 7, terrorists shot dead a laborer named Amritpal Singh from Amritsar, Punjab in Shalla Kadal area of Srinagar city. Another non-local worker, identified as Rohit Mashi from Amritsar, was injured in the attack.
Another person was shot on April 8
On 8 April, suspected terrorists shot and injured a non-local cab driver named Paramjeet Singh in Jammu and Kashmir’s southern Shopian district. It is being told that the victim was a resident of Delhi and he was shot in his left hand. However, his condition is said to be stable.
Voting will be held in Anantnag on 7th May
Voting will be held in the third phase of elections in Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency on May 7. Earlier, terrorists had shot dead a laborer named Amritpal Singh from Amritsar in Punjab in Shalla Kadal area of the city on February 7. Another non-local laborer, Rohit Mashi, was injured in the incident and died a day later. He was also from Amritsar.
