The Income Tax Department has informed on Friday that the net direct tax for the financial year 2022-23 till mid-June has increased by 45 per cent to Rs 3,39,225 crore.
This net tax collection of Rs 3,39,225 crore includes corporation tax of over Rs 1.70 lakh crore and personal income tax including security transaction tax, which is over Rs 1.67 lakh crore.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said, the direct tax figures for the financial year 2022-23 up to June 16 show that the net collections are Rs 3,39,225 crore as compared to Rs 2,33,651 crore in the corresponding period last year. Advance tax collection in the first quarter of the current financial year stood at Rs 1.01 lakh crore as against Rs 75,783 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal, which is an increase of over 33 per cent. Of this, corporation tax is Rs 78,842 crore and personal tax is Rs 22,175 crore.
