T20 World Cup 2024 South Africa Team: South Africa Cricket Board has announced its 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 starting from June 1, in which Aiden McCram will be seen handling the responsibility of captaining the team. This time the mega event will be jointly hosted by West Indies and America, in which 20 teams are participating. The South African team has got a place in Group D, in which the teams of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal are also there. The South African team will start its campaign on June 3 with a match against Sri Lanka which will be played on the grounds of New York.

Reached semi-finals twice
If we talk about the performance of the South African team in the T20 World Cup, so far they have played 40 matches in this event, out of which they have won 24 and lost 15 matches. The South African team has not been successful in reaching the finals even once in the history of the T20 World Cup. The African team had reached the semi-finals in 2009 and 2014. This time the team will take the field with the intention of changing this record. After playing the match against Sri Lanka, the African team has to play matches against Netherlands on 8th June, while against Bangladesh and Nepal on 10th and 14th June.
