Terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir are not taking the name of stopping. On Monday, terrorists shot dead a Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district while another jawan has been admitted to a hospital. According to the information, the terrorists shot Head Constable Surinder Singh and Assistant Sub Inspector Devraj in Kakapora area when they were having tea at a tea shop. Both were taken to the hospital in critical condition where Surinder Singh was declared brought dead by the doctors. Significantly, in the last one month, there has been a rapid increase in terrorist incidents in the Valley. This is the ninth terrorist incident in the Valley in the month of Ramzan.
Earlier on Saturday, an army soldier was martyred in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Anantnag district. Four terrorists were killed by the army in Shopian on Thursday. During this, three soldiers were martyred in a road accident. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has strongly condemned the Pulwama attack. He issued a statement saying that I strongly condemn the terrorist attack on RPF jawans. I salute the bravery of Head Constable Surendra Kumar. The perpetrators of such nefarious attacks will not be spared. My condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief and I wish the injured soldier a speedy recovery.
In the past, terrorists had also pasted posters in the valley in which it was said that non-Kashmiris should leave Kashmir immediately or be ready to die. Police and army are jointly running a search operation to nab the terrorists in the valley.
